CoinRank News: Indonesias Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi) may delete 500,000 retinal data records collected by the Worldcoin platform, a move stemming from concerns about a potential data breach. Komdigi is investigating whether there are risks in storing retinal data. If evidence of such risks is found, the data may be permanently deleted. Worldcoin, a platform that provides identity verification, has come under scrutiny for offering 800,000 rupiah ($48.34) to users who scan their retina. The platform stopped all scanning activities in Indonesia after Komdigi revoked its operating license. Worldcoin clarified that its cryptocurrency Worldcoin is not used for compensation and that the tokens are optional incentives.
