Bitget will destroy 30 million BGB in the second quarter, worth about $138 million

CoinRank News: According to the Bitget announcement, 30,001,053.1 BGB will be destroyed in the second quarter of 2025, accounting for about 2.56% of the circulation, with a total value of about US$138 million. The corresponding number of BGB will be sent to the destruction address, and the on-chain record will be announced after completion. Previously, Bitget Token (BGB) updated and upgraded the destruction plan. The new destruction mechanism is based on the actual use scenarios of BGB, linked to the on-chain gas fee, and based on the actual use scenarios of BGB to ensure community transparency. The first quarterly destruction was completed on April 17. According to current CoinMarketCap data, BGB has a market value of approximately US$5.1 billion, ranking 27th in the global crypto asset list and third among the global centralized exchange (CEX) platform coins.
