President realDonaldTrump is demolishing the East Wing of the White House to make room for a lavish new Golden Ballroom — a $300 million project he says will be funded entirely by private donors, not taxpayers.
Who’s Paying?
According to a Thursday donor list, major U.S. tech firms including Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, and Microsoft are among the contributors.
YouTube reportedly pledged over $20M, while crypto giants Ripple, Tether_to, Coinbase, and the Winklevoss twins also made donations.
Defense and telecom giants Lockheed Martin, Comcast, T-Mobile, and Palantir appear on the list as well.
