The Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN) has blacklisted prediction market platform Polymarket for operating without a license, classifying wagers as counterparty betting (gambling).

ONJN Chairman Vlad-Cristian Soare: "Whether you bet with Lei or crypto... we are talking about gambling that must be licensed."

ENFORCEMENT: The ONJN decision and updated blacklist will be communicated to ISPs (internet service providers) to block access to the platform for players resident in Romania.
