According to CFTC, Michael Selig has been formally sworn in as Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He stated that amid rapid technological innovation, record-high retail participation, and the upcoming digital asset market structure bill, he is committed to safeguarding the stability and security of U.S. commodity derivatives markets.

Previously, Michael Selig served as Chief Legal Counsel of the SEC’s Crypto Task Force and as a senior advisor to SEC Chair Paul Atkins.
