According to The Block, Ethereum has completed the final phase of the Fusaka upgrade with the “Blob Parameters Only (BPO)” fork. This update increases the maximum number of blobs per block to 21, further enhancing data availability for Layer 2 networks.
The BPO mechanism allows Ethereum to adjust key network parameters in a more flexible, incremental manner, reducing reliance on large annual hard forks. This approach helps lower Rollup data costs and provides long-term support for Ethereum’s scalability.
